A Letter to Three Wives

Hope you didn't miss this one. It was a great little slice of life. Our local girl made good, Ann Sothern wears the pants and her husband (Kirk Douglas) is an English Teacher.

Who said the Career woman is a recent innovation?

Quote of the week:
George Phipps: The purpose of radio writing, as far as I can see, is to prove to the masses that a deodorant can bring happiness... a mouth wash guarantee success and a laxative attract romance.

True Grit

What a smashing start to Nostalgia Night 2008.

Did you know that John Wayne fell in love with the horse that he rode at the end of True Grit? He rode the same horse through several more westerns, including his final movie, The Shootist.

If you enjoyed the movie you might like the novel True Grit by Charles Portis.
